In short
We do not use tracking, advertising or analytics cookies on ajnadayninstitute.co.uk. We do not profile you, we do not follow you across other websites, and we do not share information about your visit with advertisers.
That is why you do not see a cookie banner when you arrive. There is nothing for you to consent to. This policy explains the position in full, including the small number of technical cookies that our hosting provider may set for security reasons, which the law treats as exempt from consent.
2. What we do not use
To be explicit, our website does not use:
- advertising or retargeting cookies;
- social media tracking pixels, including from Meta, Instagram, TikTok or X;
- Google Analytics or any other third-party analytics service;
- cross-site tracking or device fingerprinting;
- login or session cookies — our website has no user accounts, so there is no session to keep;
- payment cookies — course fees are paid by bank transfer, arranged with us directly, and no payment is taken through our website.
We also do not read anything already stored on your device.
4. Server logs
This is not a cookie, but we would rather be open about it.
Like every website, ours records basic technical information each time a page is requested: your IP address, the type of browser and device you are using, the page requested, and the date and time. These records are generated automatically by our hosting provider and are used to keep the site available, diagnose faults and detect abuse. They are kept for a short period and are not used to build a profile of you.

5. Content embedded from other websites
Where a page on our website embeds content hosted elsewhere — for example a video, a map or a social media post — that other website may set its own cookies and see your IP address, exactly as if you had visited it directly. We have no control over those cookies.
As at the effective date of this policy, our website embeds no such content. If that changes, we will update this policy first, and where consent is required we will ask for it before the content loads.
6. The legal position
Cookies are governed in the UK by the Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003 ("PECR"), as amended by the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025, alongside the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
The general rule is that a website must give you clear information about cookies and obtain your consent before setting them. There are limited exceptions. Consent is not required where a cookie is:
- strictly necessary to provide the service you have asked for;
- necessary only to transmit a communication;
- used solely for the website operator's own statistical purposes, to improve the service;
- used to adapt the appearance or functionality of the site to your preferences; or
- used to enable emergency assistance.
The only cookies that may be set on our website fall within the strictly necessary exception. We rely on no other exception, because we set no other cookies.
If we ever introduce analytics, we will update this policy, tell you clearly what we are measuring, and give you a straightforward way to opt out — even where the law would not strictly require us to ask permission first.
8. Changes to this policy
If we start using cookies, or change the ones we use, we will update this policy and the version number and effective date at the top, before the change takes effect.
